Eric Riester

Eric Riester was a son of San Antonio and a graduate of Clark High School. He earned a B.A. in Urban Studies from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.S. in Urban Administration from Trinity University in. He was a varsity football player in both high school and college and a Life Loyal member of Sigma Chi. At the time of his unexpected death, he was a second-year law student at St. Mary's School of Law.

His professional experience working at the Alamo Water Reuse and Conservation District, the Downtown Owners Association, the City of San Antonio, and the Bexar County Office of Budget and Management reflected his passion for his community.

Eric loved bay fishing, gardening, grilling, hunting, and spending time at his family's Hill Country ranch. Eric was most of all a devoted husband, father and son, and a loyal friend. There is no better way to remember him than with a living memorial in Civic Park, one of the greatest urban redevelopment projects in San Antonio’s history.
