In 1972, four years after HemisFair and fresh from Naval Aviation, the Viet Nam war, and UT Austin, our young family arrived in San Antonio ready to start a new adventure. We were immediately welcomed into a community that has proven to be a terrific place for us to live and thrive.

The vitality and community of San Antonio is implanted here in this reimagined Hemisfair Civic Park. The donated tree will provide shelter and inspiration for visitors, local and from around the world, including now four generations of our own family.

Bill, Ann, David, Kim, Haley, Carson, Jeff, Ariana, Fletcher, and EJ are happy to invest in this beautiful space that will allow visitors to experience the cultural connection with past and future generations that respect the nexus of water, land, and life.

Enjoy and preserve this place for all.
